Weighing in

Remember when I first talked about started to do strength exercises?

Well, I’m now into week 3 of my training,  and I have to admit, strength training may be one of my favorite days.

Don’t get me wrong I love to run and cross train, but the day after I lift, I wake up with sore muscles that feel energized and happy to be used. I’m in a good mood and even though I ache, it’s a good sore that makes me feel strong. Though these weeks are hectic, I’m still finding time to train and lift and my body is thanking me for it. Truthfully, it may be one of the few times I can really clear my mind during the day and refocus. And I can make room for that.

And for a little treat today: Apple Pie Milkshake

It may be just the cure if you’re feeling down or a reward if you’re on top of the world.

2 cups ice cream (I used Haagen Daaz Caramel Cone but any caramely flavor will work)

1 cup milk

1 tsp Apple cider mix or spices like cinnamon

Mix well and add more of anything to your likely.

These aren’t terrific pictures but it tastes better than it looks. I promise.
