Running with the Wind

Yesterday was a gorgeous day.

It was slightly cloudy but mostly sunny. Have you ever noticed that in October big white clouds seem to roll through the sky? It just makes all the color changing on the leaves and wind blowing the tress that much more.

Blah, it’s been a long week but a good run was just what I needed.

So even though it was so windy, I went for a run in the late afternoon, and it was the perfect weather. Not too hot, not too cold and my new tennis shoes gave me enough umph to power through my workout.

Ignore my messy closet!

I initially thought running in the wind would be a challenge but it wasn’t. Either it wasn’t blowing as hard as I thought or the trees helped block some of its strength. And the gorgeous scenery provided a nice distraction too.

And then I came back to my apartment and devoured this yummy quinoa with broccoli, peppers and tomato and a large glass of milk. Yum!

Have a great weekend!
