One thing I love about Thanksgiving is that besides food prep there’s no hustle and bustle to get ready days before hand. Sure you can buy ingredients and face the grocery store chaos but most people don’t start cooking until Thanksgiving day and there’s only soo much food shopping you can do. The days before are a bit more relaxed and calm unlike Christmas. Maybe its a calm before the storm effect but there’s really only so much you can do before you just have to sit back and relax.
*Revision: I guess it’s not that relaxing if your traveling. I drove my roommate to the train station and that traffic was CRAZY! So sometimes calm, sometimes not so calm!
My Thanksgiving break is going to be a little unconventional for me in the sense that I’m not going home. My family is coming to spend Thanksgiving at my grandparents along with my aunts/uncles/cousins who live out near where I go to school. I’ll spend a couple days at my grandparents and a couple with my aunt/uncle/cousins before heading back to school.
Though it’s going to be different, I’m excited. I love spending time with my younger cousins and truth be told,
Home is where the heart is.
