Holiday Weekend Rewind

I’m not quite sure I’m ready for it to be Monday yet. It’s hard to get back in the routine but 3 more weeks for me then I’m on break!

I consumed so most food this week and took a break from tradition with these delicious chocolate chip cookies my uncle made. Don’t worry, there was still plenty of pie. 🙂

My weekend at my uncle and aunt’s was fun and super busy! It’s definitely a task to keep up with a 7 and 8-year-old but one that I enjoyed! Spending large amounts of time with my cousins is not something I get to do often so I soaked up every minute. We played baseball, frisbee, and took a walk to a nearby playground among other things.

My aunt also happens to be a great cook, and she made this recipe for dinner Friday night. I couldn’t get enough!

I also paid my first visit to Trader Joe’s this weekend and feel in LOVE. At home, the closest one is still pretty far a way so with one just 5 minutes down the road, how could I pass it up.

Now that I’m back at school, it’s time to get back in gear but this week will be pretty slow. I have a couple small tasks on hand and will be finishing my training for the Hot Chocolate 15K at the end of this week so that will keep me a little occupied.
