Sometimes things just don’t go your way.
Like when you spend Sunday cutting up a jalapeno among various other things to make this (delicious) salsa and then the oil gets on your skin. Which subsequently transfers to your contact lenses when you take them out and then makes your eyes burn and tear the next morning. Yes, this happened.
Or you wake up with a stupid stuffy nose. Because you haven’t already had a cold or anything. oh wait.
Or the treadmill is the most difficult thing in the world but better than facing the awful hills outside.
(Oh, and maybe that this post is pictureless because the files won’t upload completely…)
But then sometimes things do work out.
Like having the just the right amount of eggs your recipe calls for.
Or having light fluffy dough turn into delicious cookies.
Or Chai tea lattes from Starbucks and dvr’ed programs.
And eating many of the cookies you made today.
It all balances out right?
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla.
Cream together margarine, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in 3 eggs and combine.
Sift flour, soda, and tartar. If you have the
patience time, definitely do this, it was worth it.
Gradually stir into creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Roll out and use cookie cutters. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
