A Holiday Oops

I meant to post this week after Christmas. But while intentions are good, relaxing/being busy is even better.

Sometimes I was lazy.

Sometimes I was busy. Shopping, catching up with old friends, and prepping for my upcoming trip.

But mostly I was lazy. It’s okay to put your feet up and forget the world for a couple days.

My Christmas was wonderful, filled with tasty Christmas Eve bites. My family brought a fruit and cheese tray which was a perfectly balanced starter for a delicious dinner and snacks throughout the night.

Delicious Christmas Morning breakfast of cinnamon rolls, hashbrown casserole, bacon, and fruit.

And leftover cookies and sweets for days.

My favorite moment? Possibly making chocolate truffles with my mom as a last minute spontaneous treat. It was messy but fun and something totally different. I’ll share later.

Are you getting ready for the New Year? I am, but it’s mostly overshadowed by my upcoming trip to…. Australia! I’ll be there for 5 weeks and am planning (If I can keep my hands out of the cookie jar) to have about 2-3 posts prepped for each week with maybe a few updates (we’ll see). But if not, just bear with me, I’ll be back up to weeks filled of posts in February!

Keep relaxing because busy comes again in January! 😉
