Three Things I’m Loving

Happy Friday everyone!

Let’s get to it. Somehow everything I”m currently loving is fall themed and I think this will probably be the pattern for a while.

1) Candy apples with sprinkles

one half gone…

I picked this up on my apple picking trip. Normally I’m not a fan of caramel or caramel apples, they’re too chewy but the sprinkles really caught my eye. And apparently the same goes here and here.

But it was honestly delicious, and I couldn’t get enough of the apples + caramel + sprinkle combo.

2) Pumpkin Chai Tea Lattes

These are delicious. I’ve had some long days this week because of extra tutoring shifts and class and coming back and curling up with a mug of this in my hand has helped me unwind.

3) The Pumpkins on my Front Step!

They just add a nice autumny touch and are a cheerful greeting anytime we come home.

Now I’m looking forward to the weekend.  My parents are coming to visit so that means delicious dinners out, a football, a Ghost tour, and so much more. I’m excited to relax and spend time with them after a busy week.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Apples and Pumpkins

Happy October!

Something about October makes it really feel like fall to me, who knows why but it’s a crazy phenomena! ha
I think my weekend was the perfect way to celebrate truly fall weather.

Saturday morning was an early cup of pumpkin spice coffee enjoyed at my cousin’s soccer game. It was awesome to see him play, and the weather was cool and crisp! Perfect for jeans and a scarf.

My aunt and uncle live right by a Trader Joe’s so I snuck in a quick trip when I left and bought pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin chai tea latte mix, pumpkin butter, and sweet potato gnocchi. Can you tell I’m a little crazy for pumpkin? I went all for it after a conversation my aunt and I had about how we have to enjoy the pumpkin while it’s here and not wait around saving it.  So I lived in the moment.

Sunday, I ventured with a couple friends to a nearby apple orchard. We picked apples, ate apple cider donuts, and choose pumpkins!

When I got home, I peeled my apples and made my favorite applesauce. This time I added honey and some ground ginger for extra spice. Just as delicious and now a great treat for the rest of the upcoming week.

Oh I just love fall!
