Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Brussels Sprouts are one of those foods that as I kid, I didn’t even want to try it. They smell ‘funny’ and everyone else always moans and groans about them so they must be gross right?

Sometime between my senior year of high school and freshman year of college, I must have stumbled on a recipe for roasted brussels sprouts All judgements aside, I figured why not?

I washed and cut the sprouts in half and tossed them liberally in olive oil and some grey sea salt we had.

Then I roasted them for about 45 minutes at 400 degrees in our oven. When they were done, they were toasted and crispy and delicious. A complete transformation.

I’ll eat Brussels Sprouts roasted or steamed nowadays but this is my favorite way. And I don’t even have any pictures to show you how I like them dark and crispy because I eat them up way to quickly.

But try it, it’ll be delicious.
