How to make a mess without even trying

Sometimes all the time  I’m good at making messes when I cook/prepare food.

I don’t try to. I try to be  a neat person, but I guess I get too caught up in the food to notice.

Case in point:

Monday morning I opened my applesauce and it fell on the floor. It landed face up, fortunately but splattered everywhere. Everywhere as in under the refrigerator, on the carpet, in my roommates food cubby. (We have a shelving unit with four cubbies where we keep our pantry staples).  So it sucked cleaning it up at 7 in the morning.

NOT a good way to start of the week.

Somehow I always make little messes like this. Not all the time but every once in a while something will just blow up in my face and I wonder how I let that happen. It might have something to do with my patience…

Maybe the rest of the week will work out better. 🙂

And for something good: Apple and Cabbage Salad.

Remember the cabbage I picked up Saturday? Well, I chopped up a few pieces with some apples and poured a bit of vinegar over the top. Add raisins and it’s a delicious light lunch.

I personally love the tang of vinegar and it works well with the sweetness of apples.

What big messes have you made?
